Ethiopian Electric Power’s Department of Women, Children, and Youth Affairs stated that international women’s day is commemorated in different premises of the company.

International Women’s Day was celebrated with a variety of activities at the Genale Dawa III Power Plant, the South West Region, the South 1, Central 1 and 2 Regions of TSO, as well as the head office, according to the department’s director, Mrs. Lense Edea.

EEP’s female employees are working productively in demanding environments despite both natural and psychological obstacles impeding their progress.

She exhorted women to take the lead and give it their best in order to increase their productivity and involvement in all spheres of life by finding durable solutions to their challenges.

The director expressed gratitude to the officials who assisted in commemorating the day through a range of educational visits and dialogues.
