The second phase of the SAP system implementation has advanced significantly and now stands 62.2 percent.
Together with Ethiopian Airlines and the Indian Oren company, who developed the system, the Ethiopian Electric Power management evaluated the SAP deployment.
The evaluation focuses on identifying and analyzing shortcomings of the first phase of SAP implementation and subsequently to assess the extent and implementation of the second phase.
The modules scheduled for the second phase of the SAP system deployment were described in detail by Mr. Manuchi Gupta, Manager of Oran and SAP deployment Consultant at Ethiopian Airlines.
He stated that the project is expected to be completed in the upcoming three months, with efforts focused on ensuring successful implementation.
In addition, he gave the management a thorough description of how the finance, HR, procurement, and warehouse management modules will be included in the second stage of the SAP deployment.
The system will include Ariba, Success Factor, Plant Maintenance, SPEAR, and GRC components, according to Mr. Manuhci.
Process Modernization Manager Ato Feleke Afework noted that during the second phase of the SAP implementation, delays in providing information about the operating system’s deployment had an adverse effect on process.
Engineer Ashebir Balcha, the CEO of EEP, expressed appreciation for the efforts being made to transform the company to a digital transformation platform during the evaluation.
He said that even if there isn’t much time left to execute the system, it is crucial to prioritize the project’s success.
The CEO stressed the significance of giving top priority and completing the project on schedule and with motivation.
