The CEO office of Ethiopian Electric Power announced that the new Workers’ Club directive has been approved and is now enter to operation.

Mr. Mulat Gezahagn, head of CEO office, said that the newly established management board is required to establish a system that will allow the employees to get adequate and quality services.

Mr. Mulat confirmed that the EEP management will provide comprehensive support to enhance the board’s effectiveness in fulfilling its responsibilities and strive to meet the employees’ needs satisfactorily.

Ato Mekonen Kifle, chairman of the EEP labor union, noted that workers’ concerns about the cafeteria service have prompted the establishment of a new framework to address the issue.

According to Atalay Abebe, the Executive Officer of Human Resources, while the primary responsibility lies with the labor union, the company will provide all necessary support to strengthen the club.

Mr. Wale Tamire, Manager of Administrative Affairs and Documentation at the Chief Executive Office, emphasized that the board should prioritize employee satisfaction, ensure operational transparency, and adopt a progressive approach.

The newly appointed Chairperson of the club’s board, Mrs. Lense Edea, emphasized that board members should be aware of the challenges of their responsibilities and urged them to fulfill their duties with commitment.

The management board of the club, consisting of seven members, received the club directive from the CEO office head, handed over by its chairperson, Ms. Lense Edea.
