Ethiopia is notable for having most competitively low electricity tariffs in Africa

According to the website Statista, Ethiopia ranks among the African nations with the lowest electricity tariffs.

Data from the website revealed that Ethiopia, Sudan, Angola, and Libya charge domestic customers 0.01 US cents per kilowatt-hour.

In contrast, neighboring Kenya charged 0.22 US cents per kilowatt-hour, placing it just above Cape Verde, which has the highest tariff in the region.

Mali, Rwanda, Burkina Faso, and Gabon are classified as countries with high electricity tariffs, while Egypt, Nigeria, and Zambia charge 0.02 US cents per kilowatt-hour, just above Ethiopia.

In Africa, the lowest electricity tariff per kilowatt-hour is 0.01 US cents, while the highest and most expensive is 0.31 US cents.
