It is with profound sorrow that I extend my heartfelt condolences on the sudden and tragic passing of Mr. Gissima Nyamo-Hanga, Managing Director of TANESCO, who lost his life in a road accident.

Mr. Nyamo-Hanga was a committed and visionary leader whose efforts significantly contributed to advancing the power sector in Tanzania and the regional power trade through the Eastern Africa Power Pool (EAPP). His passing is a significant loss to TANESCO and the broader energy community in EAPP.

I express our deepest sympathies to his family, colleagues, and the TANESCO family on behalf of EEP and myself. May you find strength during this difficult time, and may his soul rest in eternal peace.
