The Debreberhan No. 2, 230 KV substation has been supplying power to various towns and factories in the surrounding areas.

Mr. Dagne Yitagesu, the person in charge of the substation, stated that it provides up to 48 megawatts of power daily to Debreberhan Industrial Park, several local factories, and the cities of Debreberhan, Enewari, Deneba, Mendida, Jehur, Hagemariam, Sheno, and Chacha.

He also mentioned that the substation generates foreign currency by supplying up to 20 megawatts per day to foreign companies involved in data mining.

Mr. Dagne stated that the substation is equipped with nine outgoing lines at 33 kV and eight outgoing lines at 15 kV.

Mr. Dagne explained that preparations are underway to install a 230 kV power line for the Lemi Cement Factory, which is anticipated to begin production soon.

The Debreberhan No. 2 substation, which was officially inaugurated in 2019, is equipped with two 125 MVA transformers and two 63 MVA transformers.
