Project Outcome

The project has become a point for evacuating of power from the Genale Dawa III hydropower plant to the load dispatch center by constructing a substation at Yirgalem, Wolayta Sodo, and Awassa towns. This project is being used to connect the industries and domestic customers in the nearby towns of Yirgalem and Wolayta Sodo with a 400 kV transmission line.
