The Project is located in Amhara regional state of Ethiopia. The substations are found in cities of Bahir Dar, Woldiya and kombolcha whereas the transmission line traverses all the way and connects these substations.

The project has two components: physical component and transmission line component. The physical components of the project includes; Substation component: design, Mmanufacture, deliver, install, test and Commission of 400kV Bahirdar II Substation Extension, New 400/230/33/15 kV Woldiya II Substation, New 400/230/33kV kombolcha III Substation and 230kV Combolcha II Substation Extension.

Transmission Line Component includes: design, manufacture, deliver, install, test and Commission of Bahirdar II – Woldia – kombolcha 400kv Double Circuit Transmission Line and kombolcha II- kombolcha III 230kv Double Circuit and woldia LILO 230kv Transmission Line.
