
The initial phase of end-user training for the plant maintenance module, which is part of the second phase of SAP implementation, has begun.
The module aims to enhance maintenance and operations activities across all regions of Ethiopian Electric Power.
Mr. Abdu Yamam, manager of the technical support bureau for generationt operations, stated that power plants will be able to modernize their maintenance tasks through the implementation of the plant maintenance module in this second phase.
The training session, lasting 15 days, will cover maintenance systems, spare part supply management, and other relevant topics, providing both practical and theoretical support, according to Mr. Abdu.
Maintenance managers along with electrical and mechanical engineers from seven power plants are engaged in the training.
It has been mentioned that similar training sessions will be offered to additional power plant workers in the future.
The training is coordinated by the power plant operations technical support office in partnership with the office of training and human development.
