IMF Deputy Director Visits Koysha Hydropower Project

The Deputy Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Nigel Clarke, visited the Koysha Hydropower Project, which has a capacity of 1,800 megawatts.
The Deputy Director, accompanied by Finance Minister Ahmed Shide and other government officials, visited the project site.


Following the visit, the Deputy Director remarked that the construction of the dam is an important part of Ethiopia’s ongoing reform agenda, which aims to expand access to clean, renewable, and affordable energy for citizens and industries.


He further noted that the project will make a significant contribution to advancing sustainable development in the country.
