
Management members and staff of Ethiopian Electric Power (EEP) have engaged in discussions on the decisions and directions set during the second regular meeting of the Prosperity Party (PP), held under the theme ‘From Words to Culture.
The discussion aimed to ensure that employees fully understand and implement the decisions and directions set during the meeting.
“During the discussion, Engineer Ashebir Balcha, CEO of EEP, emphasized that the goal was to deepen employees’ understanding of the decisions and directions set during the Prosperity Party meeting and ensure their practical implementation.
He stressed that, as the ruling party leads the government, employees must align their work with its decisions and key focus areas.
A document prepared based on the resolutions and future directions from the PP’s second meeting was presented during the session.
Key points highlighted in the document included strengthening party building, enhancing national unity, promoting effective peace-building efforts, improving the efficiency of the justice sector, accelerating economic development, and ensuring social prosperity.
Additionally, the document emphasized the importance of effective diplomatic efforts, civil service reforms, and robust media and communication activities.
Participants raised questions and shared opinions on various issues, including peace, institutional building, service delivery, development, good governance, and the justice system.
In response, Mr. Demere Assefa, Deputy CEO of Corporate Finance and Asset Management, explained that government development institutions operate based on state policies and political directions.
He noted that the government is working diligently to address the root causes of conflicts and ensure the equitable utilization of the country’s resources.
Mr. Demere also emphasized that maintaining peace is not solely the government’s responsibility but requires the collective effort of all citizens. He urged everyone to play their part in fostering peace.
Engineer Andualem Sia, Deputy CEO of the Transmission Business, emphasized the critical need for consensus-building to foster strong national unity. He stated that the government is working comprehensively to address challenges related to peace and bring about fundamental changes.”
