Consequently, she explained that the training has been designed to include staff from various departments, not just procurement professionals.
She noted that this initiative ensures purchase requests are executed on time, maintain high quality, and remain fully compliant with the law.
Ms. Tsion also highlighted that the curriculum was developed jointly by EEP’s Procurement and Logistics Department, the Public Property Administration, and Ethiopian Investment Holdings. This collaborative effort is expected to bridge existing gaps and yield superior results.
Participants have reacted positively to the sessions. Mr. Korsa Teresa, Health and Safety Manager, noted that the training would facilitate proper procurement execution by resolving common operational challenges.
Similarly, Ms. Yemisrach Mekonnen from the Development and Training Center expressed that the knowledge gained would help standardize institutional procurement processes in alignment with national systems.
Mr. Hailu Wolde, Head of the Labor Union Office, added that the initiative would address observed gaps and help establish a robust system that strictly adheres to legal standards.
