The Aluto Geothermal Expansion Project will begin drilling on April 18

Ethiopian Electric Power CEO Asheber Balcha directed the Aluto Langano Geothermal Expansion Project to begin drilling on 18th April, 2021.

He said water supply is crucial for the continuation of the project and urged the remaining works to be completed as soon as possible.

Generation construction Executive Officerr, Assefa Nigusse, and representatives of the World Bank, which is financing the project, evaluated the ongoing work.

The Aluto Langano geothermal plant has a capacity of 7.5 MW and the expansion project has a capacity of 70 MW.
